Message Hes completely right about everything an you could go pretty much to every shop that actually works and doesnt hang out all day with people drinking an leaning against the cars, and they would agree with him also. Theres local shop that all the car croud hangs at all night ect... they all let this kid work on there cars for more money and he screws it up majority of time but since they are all hanging there and its their car being worked on its ok. Times are different now then before. Alot of uncertified places, uninsured places that justsell the dream to people like the guy said. People dont want to pay top dollar for one persons skill set but rather pay cheaper to have their car be in the spotlight at the shop. This same shop had 6 ppl under the car trying to figure out how to line up suspension ect on installing a lower control arm and also installed springs upside down on a car. But because its the place
o meet up at night then noone cares.

I will say he keeps saying how they happen to be younger and is hinting at that being an issue an almost as if they shouldnt be trusted and thats not entirely fair. True, he may have been doing it for years and can be a one man show when it comes to fabricating, motor building, diagnostics ect. But there isnt wrong with going to a shop where they outsource work. Having another company fabricate certain part or sending motor to machine shop to be assembled ect. Paying a higher price tag just to have one person be able to do all the work doesnt have to be the "correct" way. Customers need to ask for references or see past work ect if they dont immediately trust the person. Nothing wrong with asking for a reference.

On the other hand, if you look at 80% of kids coming out of school certified to work on a car they dont have any real hands on exp. And sometimes end up being book smart with no common since which is whats really needed to work on cars. Kinda like he said when they use 50k from parents to open a shop.
